Student Comments/Testimonials

- I think this was an excellent experience and a wonderfully run program.

- A life-changing experience. I would do it again.

- The Oxford study abroad program was fantastic and exceeded my expectations. You are treated as an adult while you are there and the freedom after class to see the city, hang out, etc is definitely a major plus. The lecturers know what they are talking about, and the wide range of topics is great because you were given two sides to one issue and this allowed you to make your own judgement. I highly recommend it.

- Oxford is a charming city in the English countryside that gave the students all the access we needed to all parts of the UK while providing an intimate setting that encourage scholarly debate and a unique opportunity for socialization. The program itself promoted debate on issues that rarely are a concern stateside and helped us understand the complex relationship the US, UK, and the EU have amongst eachother and with the world as a whole.

- I enjoyed the program very much. The speakers were all good. Overall, I loved it.

- Excellent program. Good caliber of speakers. Right balance of academics and appropriate tours.

- The Oxford Study Abroad Program provided a wonderful opportunity to not
only learn about a subject, but to also experience its relevance. I look forward to recommending the Oxford Program to all of my fellow SPP classmates.

- The Oxford Program presented dual advantages - The opportunity to earn 3
credit hours while at the same time providing a rare opportunity to study at Oxford.

- The Oxford program, led by Dr. Kewley, allowed us to engage with experts in the field of Britain and EU intergration. It is an intense program that provides an excellent balance of academic theory and practical experience.

- The learning modules were well designed and complemented
by the quality and diversity of lecturers at Oxford which in my view was pivotal in
facilitating excellent learning outcomes. Professor Desmond Dinan and Michal
McElwain were extremely successful in maintaining high academic standards and
an enriching cultural experience throughout the four weeks. The intellectual
atmosphere created at Oxford exceeded my expectations and I can only hope I
will have another opportunity to repeat the experience at some time in the future.

- I have and will continue to recommend the Oxford Program
to students in both the MPP and ICP Programs who are interested in a truly
amazing academic opportunity.
