TRANSPORTATION AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
RESEARCH CENTER

The Transportation and Economic Development Research Center is a University Transportation Center, funded by the Research and Innovative Technology Administration of the U.S. Department of Transportation. The Center conducts research in transportation finance, transportation and land use, and entrepreneurship and innovation in transportation.

The Center is contained within the Transportation Research Center at the School of Public Policy, George Mason University. George Mason, located in the Washington D.C. suburb of Fairfax, Virginia, has 30,000 students, nearly half of whom are graduate students. The School of Public Policy, with a faculty of 100, offers six Master’s degrees and a Ph.D. in Public Policy. With 130 students, the doctoral program is the largest in the United States.

Dr. Jonathan Gifford is Director of the Transportation and Economic Development Research Center.
